Kesava Mannur, FRCS, Consultant Bariatric surgeon
An Upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon with extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery. Has been Performing Laparoscopic surgery since 1990 and obesity surgery since 1998. Established the Bariatric Department in 2003 at Homerton University Hospital and was Director of Bariatric Surgery until 2016. Has performed more than 4,500 bariatric surgeries. Regularly performs all types of obesity/Metabolic surgery – Intragastric balloon, Gastric Banding, Gastric RNY Bypass, One Anastomosis Gastric bypass MGB, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Duodenal switch and Revisional obesity surgery – Band to Sleeve or Gastric bypass, Sleeve to Banded gastric bypass or Duodenal Switch or SADIS and Gastric bypass to DS. Trained a lot of surgeons both in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. Conducted 7 Homerton Bariatric Training courses until 2017 and well reputed Homerton Bariatric surgery symposiums (BOMSS spring symposiums at Homerton). Dr Kotagiri Madahva MS
Dr Madhava is a consultant surgeon practising in Sunshine multispeciality Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. His main focus is in Laparoscopic surgery and Bariatric surgery. He along with Kesava Mannur developed Laparoscopic and GI surgery in Medicate Hospital in 1995 till 1997.He has been doing laparoscopic surgery since 1994 and Bariatric surgery since 2002 along with Kesava Mannur. He was director of surgery in Medwin hospital and then in Mediciti Hospital Hyderabad until a few years ago, for a number of years. He teaches the post graduates in surgery at Mediciti Medical School, Hyderabad. He along with Mr Mannur is involved in Meditation for more than 4 decades. He along with Kesava Mannur and other dedicated meditators is running Free school in Hyderabad and a very low budget hospital MSRCM Hospital, Vijayanagar Colony in Hyderabad through ‘Sahaj Seva Samsthan’.
